Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC)

The Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) is a global alliance that brings together national forest certification systems to promote responsible forestry. As a non-profit and non-governmental organization, PEFC ensures forests are managed sustainably through independent, third-party certification. It is the world’s largest forest certification system.

Organizations like ISAB help maintain the credibility and effectiveness of PEFC certifications by overseeing the certification bodies that issue them, ensuring they operate independently and meet high standards.
